HPC Leogang looks at bringing this ‘New Level of Race Training’ to future champions in a One Stop Shop model.
About the location
The HPC Leogang is located in the heart of the Austrian alps, in the most varied holiday destination of the alps, the region Saalfelden-Leogang. Within a 30min radius, we have access to a vast number of training stadiums, including venues like Hinterglemm, Hinterreit, Zell am See, Karprun or Resterhöhe, which are frequently used by the world´s best skiers. At our home base Leogang, we have guarenteed daily access to the main training stadium due to our close relationship with the Leogang lift company.
1 On-snow training: Critical base of successful race training is Free skiing to build natural agility & position, innate feel of snow and nurture the love of the sport and the alpine mountains. HPC coaches utilize our very own HPCFreeSKILLS program – tailored using the natural terrain of Leogang’s steep curves, bumps and jumps, the program is designed for athletes to optimize intrinsic and reactive skills on snow. Our gates training sessions (mix of Slalom, Giant Slalom and SuperG) are designed age category specific, always closely monitoring the individual athletes´ progression, ability and fatigue level.
2 Off-snow training: We have our very own HPC gym training facility conveniently located at the foot of the Asitzbahn gondola (including video analysis, ski tuning, equipment storage, etc.) to highlight the critical importance of daily physical conditioning and a time-efficient training routine. Our off-snow training gets complemented by climbing/bouldering, ice skating or cross-country skiing for example.
3 Athlete Management: We offer all-year-around athlete management, including physical conditioning programming and monitoring for our seasonal athletes. This program offers a full-battery of assessments 2-4 times per year (including Functional Movement Screening, Strength and Power Testing by our best physical coaches) and customized, individual performance programs including Strength and Conditioning, Movement Skills, and outsourced Mental Coaching and Nutritional Assessment and programming on a fee basis.
4 Academic Program: As we understand the importance of academics, we have integrated an academic program, delivered by a professional in-house tutor. The academic program is built around the on-/off-snow program and allows athletes to train full-time while still ensureing to stay on-track with academics.
At the HPC Leogang we offer both seasonal and weekly race training programs. Our programs are age specific, meaning we operate an U14/U16 Children´s team and an international FIS Junior team. In addition, we offer drop-in programs for the U8, U10 and U12 age categories.
HPC Full-time Race Training Program (seasonal): You will be signing up to a full service, athlete dedicated, one stop shop race training program with our expert fully certified coaching staff. The full-time program includes 18 weeks, additional weeks during the pre-season can be booked on top of the Full-time program. Our program includes priority access to the HPC facility and HPC Athlete House, state of the art video analysis equipment and facilities, academic tutoring and many more.
HPC Part-time Race Training Program (8 weeks or more): For athletes who cannot commit to the entire season, but are ready to take their skiing to the next level.
HPC Drop-in Race Training Camps (weekly): For those athletes that have other commitments but still dedicated to competitive ski racing – HPCs depth of race training programs allow athletes the choice to join training camps that enhance their specific required skills for competition and training enhancement. Skill development is at the core of the drop-in programs.
FIS Competition Program in Australia/New Zealand: We organise a training/competition program for the Southern Hemisphere season. This full-service 7-week program gives you great training and racing opportunities in New Zealand (Coronet Peak) and Australia (Mt Hotham, Falls Creek, Thredbo, Perisher).
